Do you need a co-event master?
You will need to secure a location.
Has this been confirmed in writing?
Do you need to present a certificate of insurance?
You will need to determine a name ( theme ) for your event.
You will need to be sure that fliers are mailed out, these need to be prepared about
4-6 weeks in advance of the event so that the publicity will have ample
time to promote your event.
Here are the major areas of your responsibility that will need to be covered:
Registration Tech Inspection
Timing Course Setup
Communications Starters/Staging/Course workers
Trophies Protest committee
Equipment transportation Safety Committee
Publicity
Some of these positions will require the assistance of several people. You should try to get people lined up to take on these responsibilities as soon as possible so that they will be prepared for the event.
If you feel that you need assistance, please feel free to contact any of the club officers
or anyone on the board of directors and they will be happy to help or tell you where you
you can find the help you might need.
Good luck with your event!
